Race Report: TreX Off-Road Duathlon - A Wild Rideššµšš„
My first crack at an off-road duathlon was an adventure I won't forget. TreX State Championship and World Qualifier started with a twist. Originally set as a triathlon, they scrapped the swim and turned it into a duathlon due to poor water quality.
The course? Let's just say it was way tougher than expected. The trail running took us through dense scrubland with log hurdles. The mountain biking? A rocky, root-covered, challenging ride with narrow single trails and sketchy decentsā°ļø
I pushed through the technical course and managed to snag second place š„ in my category and State Championships. It was a surprise and a victory after battling the difficult conditions. I had a few close calls but managed to stay up.
